What services are provided?

We offer referrals to housing, legal, food, education, mental health, counseling resources, and more. We can help locate daycare services and provide one-on-one emotional support for parents.

What if I have an emergency?

Please call 911 for any emergencies.

When can I call?

Hotline hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm EST and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm EST.

What if I call after hours?

If you call after hours, you will be routed to our voicemail. If you are calling the parent support line, you will be routed to our SMS line.

 

Is this hotline only meant for adults?

Yes, we provide support for those ages 18 and over, or teen parents, through our hotline.

 

Will I be charged for calling?

Our hotline is free of charge.

Is this hotline only for those in New York City?

This hotline is a free service for parents in New York state.

What will happen when I call the hotline?

  When you call our hotline, you will be connected with one of our hotline agents.

What can I expect when I talk to an agent?

Our trained agents are here to support you and help you through daily stressors that arise from parenting, COVID-19, loss, and trauma.

Is my information confidential?

Your information is kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone.

Will I be speaking to a professional directly?

Our parental emotional support line is supported by counseling specialists at the bachelor's and master's levels. Additionally, all of our agents are trained in dealing with loss, trauma, and conflict.
