Student Internship Comments

"Overall, I had a really great time working with IRAISE. Someday i will look back and remember all the people I met, projects I completed, and deadlines i finished on time."

"I have had so much fun and gained so much experience from Iraise. Im currently in Kenya, Africa, its difficult here to sustain my contribution to Iraise even though i would want to, mainly because of not enough money to manage my network issues therebye hindering my willingness to contribute to the organization."

"I feel so grateful to have been a part of the HR team with Dalamu as my mentor! The way that Dalamu trained me was really helpful and guided, I felt so comfortable and capable throughout the whole experience because of that." - Mikiah C.

"I've had the privilege to be apart of I'RAISE's Marketing team as a Marketing intern. I enjoyed being apart of this wonderful organization and gained much needed experience within the Marketing field. It was an amazing experience and I hope that the company continues to prosper!" - Ali H.

"It has been enjoyable, and I've learned a lot of valuable lessons that I'll carry into my future endeavors. However, there's room for improvement, and I hope new interns/volunteers find their values from working at I'RAISE."

"I really appreciate Iraise team especially the marketing team( Kristen) and the HR team for the support during my time. I hope to continue with Iraise for the longest time."

"As my time as a Talent Acquisition Intern at I'RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation comes to an end, I would like to take this space to thank my amazing supervisor Dalamu Sherpa for opening the door for me, believing in my potential, and my desire to keep learning as well as her support. This journey has been exciting, enriching, and fun; the memories and knowledge I have gained from it will always stay with me." - Daniela N.

"I want to thank everyone for their efforts in creating and maintaining an internship or volunteer program. Providing these opportunities for students and individuals to gain real-world experience and develop their skills is invaluable. I appreciate the hard work and dedication that goes into designing and implementing a successful program, and I hope that the feedback and suggestions I provided will help make the program even more effective and beneficial for all involved. Thank you again for your efforts and commitment to supporting the next generation of professionals." - Serin A.

"Dalamu has done a great job organizing the HR department and its processes and procedures to ensure interns and volunteers work efficiently and have an adequate learning/working environment." - Daniela N.

"The work environment, although it is a remote internship, my supervisor made sure I felt confutable and took a lot of her time teaching me and allowing me to develop the skills needed to be successful in my position."

"Everyone was so supportive and creative. It was such a welcoming environment where everyone was able to share their ideas and receive feedback." Mari J.

"The people are what I loved most about this internship, everyone is very welcoming and kind."

"What I enjoyed most about my internship experience with IRAISE is meeting all of these nice people and polishing/ showing off my Graphic design skills. I hope the other interns will be able to learn something from me. What I really enjoyed was the fact that the company hired Me. Because of this, I was able to take COM 390, meaning I am now able to Graduate this semester." - Peter M.

"I liked the work I did, felt like I was really helping the company. Met some good people and made connections."

"I liked that every week or two weeks, the department met and shared what they were working on"

"It was great being exposed to various aspects of HR."

"Overall, I had a good enough workload to feel like I was a part of the team but not too much to overwhelm myself."

"It was fun and different, I've never had a virtual or program management position so it's nice to see things from another POV"

"It was definitely a time to grow and learn. It helped me realize more about the professional path I want to take in the future. It was also an opportunity to know more about how non-profits work, their limitations, and regulations. Finally, I had the chance to meet amazing people."

"Really enjoyed working with Dalamu and the team. Wish I could have stayed longer. The work is definitely rewarding, but really wished it could have been paid." - Jasmine M.

"I found that when I was having difficulty at the beginning of my Case Management position, Ms. Tanequa had me receive guidance from fellow interns of the same position which was extremely helpful. Shadowing people in the same intern positions can be very resourceful."

"I have been thoroughly enjoying my experience at I'RAISE thus far and I look forward to continue my internship next academic year."
