At I'RAISE, we have an exciting remote volunteer opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young black girls by being part of our See Her Be Her Coaching Virtual Program. We are currently seeking 30 dedicated and passionate professional black female coaches volunteers to join our virtual coaching team and inspire the next generation of leaders.

About the Remote Coaching Program:See Her Be Her is a transformative coaching initiative that connects professional black women with young black girls, fostering mentorship, guidance, and empowerment. Our virtual platform allows coaches to make a positive impact from the comfort of their own homes while supporting the personal and professional development of their mentees.

Volunteer Position Details:

Title: Virtual Coach

Weekly Commitment: 1 to 2 hours per week for 1 mentee |  4 hours per week for 2 mentees

Time Commitment: 6 months

Location: Fully Remote (from Georgia State preferred but not required)

Open Spots: 30 volunteers

Volunteer objectives:

  • Collaborating with the mentee's parent/guardian to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Addressing intergenerational trauma, low self-esteem, and identity issues.

  • Encouraging our girls to recognize their strengths and skills and utilize them.

  • Promoting positive self-esteem, self-confidence, and skills.

  • Encouraging our girls to take a deeper look into the stereotypes they have faced or will face and how to overcome them.

  • Cultivating an image of what it means to be a Black girl/woman for them.

  • Teaching etiquette and black excellence.

  • Providing individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and artistic abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities and workshops.


  • Black Female Volunteer.

  • Must be 21+ years old and with prior coaching or mentoring experience

  • Commit to at least one coach-to-mentee session per week for 6 months

  • Complete the required virtual coach orientation and have access to a computer and reliable wifi for online mentoring

  • Agree to the terms of our Coach code of conduct

Our volunteers will make a significant difference in shaping the future of these young girls in our See Her Be Her Coaching Virtual Program. We believe that representation matters, and by becoming a virtual coach, the volunteers will contribute to breaking down barriers and inspiring the next generation of black female leaders.
