About I’RAISE:
I’RAISE is a proud BIPOC women-led non-profit organization dedicated to the wellness of students in under-resourced communities and public schools in New York City. We implement our Integrative Mental Wellness Model (IMW) at the schools to provide mental health counseling and social work services within public school settings. Additionally, I’RAISE promotes wellness through academic enrichment initiatives, including the Afterschool Program, Gen-Z College & Career Pathway Program, and Genesis Academy Program, which encompasses tutoring, mentoring, and coaching.
Responsibilities:
Hold LCSW Certification
Leadership and Program Oversight:
Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of clinical programming under the Integrative Mental Wellness (IMW) Model.
Provide direct supervision to LMSW staff, MSW, BSW interns, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and mental health best practices.
Collaborate with the Program Director, IMW Supervisor, and Executive Officer of Programming to establish program goals, monitor outcomes, and adjust strategies for service excellence.
Clinical Services and Supervision:
Deliver individual and family therapy for children requiring specialized care, conduct clinical assessments, and develop treatment plans.
Act as a crisis interventionist when necessary, ensuring timely responses to high-risk situations.
Assign cases and manage staff schedules, ensuring manageable caseloads and quality service delivery.
Provide one-on-one and group supervision for LMSWs staff and MSW, BSW interns, offering mentorship and constructive feedback to promote professional growth.
Training and Clinical Hours Development:
Facilitate opportunities for LMSW staff and MSW, BSW interns to accumulate clinical hours toward licensure, offering supervision, workshops, and training.
Design and lead clinical training and in-service workshops, focusing on therapeutic techniques, case management, and ethical practices.
Track and ensure that clinical hours meet state licensure requirements.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal guidelines, and regulatory requirements (OCFS, DOE).
Oversee timely completion of case notes and documentation by the LMSW team, ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
Conduct audits of clinical records and case files, providing feedback to improve service delivery and maintain program quality.
Collaboration and External Relations:
Act as a liaison between the organization and external partners, including schools, universities, and community agencies.
Build and maintain relationships with school staff, coordinating regularly with principals and community school coordinators to meet student mental health needs.
Program Development and Strategic Planning:
Contribute to strategic planning and organizational decision-making as part of the leadership team.
Facilitate team meetings to discuss program outcomes, challenges, and strategies for improving clinical services.
Assist in developing new clinical initiatives and intervention models based on evolving needs.
Staff Development:
Provide ongoing training and development for LMSW workers, focusing on enhancing clinical skills and service effectiveness.
Mentor less experienced staff and foster a collaborative learning environment through supervision, workshops, and case conferences.
Crisis Management and Problem Solving:
Support LMSW staff in managing high-risk or complex cases, offering clinical expertise and problem-solving assistance.
Serve as a contact for resolving conflicts and facilitating collaboration with schools or external partners during crises.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other clinical director duties as assigned by the Executive Officer of Programming.
Represent the organization in external meetings, conferences, and forums, advocating for program success and community impact.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Must hold an active LCSW license.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Clinical Social Work or Clinical Mental Health, providing therapy, counseling, and mental health services.
At least 4+ years of experience supervising LMSW, MSW staff, and interns, including conducting clinical workshops, trainings, and supervision sessions.
SIFI certification required
Programming and LMSW / MSW Staff Supervision experience required
Experience providing clinical hours trainings and workshops
Experience working with school systems and knowledge of educational resources and support services for students
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Google Suite and case management software preferred
Travel Requirement:
Ability to travel within New York City public schools to perform job-based duties
