Kerensa A. Ward, is a Graduate of Adelphi University, with a Masters Degree in Social Work. With international experience Kerensa studied abroad, Social Welfare Policy in Sweden and gain insight on various diverse welfare systems and global protocols outside of the US. Her educational journey, years of social work experience and passion for social welfare and development has strengthened her vision for empowerment and community development.

Kerensa is currently a Board Member of DOHMH (Department of Health and Mental Hygiene consumer advisory board, and Mental Health Advocacy Ambassador for ( NAMI)  America’s largest grassroots mental health organization, dedicated to building lives and providing mental health resources for individuals and families ”. 

With a combination of social work, mental health and community development experience Kerensa founded two business in the midst of the pandemic “K’Essential Blends”, a lifestyle wellness brand dedicated to promoting optimum mental health and, mindful living.  “Coaching with K.Ward” a consulting and coaching business, dedicated to equipping lives to thrive. Kerensa looks forward to working with local officials and city council members to educate the community on the importance of self care and wellness. Kerensa currently teaches social emotional learning workshops in partnership with the DOE and community base organizations, and currently serves as a school social worker in the Brooklyn district.
