Internship Overview:
Are you looking for a meaningful opportunity to develop your administrative and leadership-support skills in a dynamic, hands-on setting? Join I'RAISE as an Administrative Aide Intern and work to support strategic initiatives and daily operations in both the Community and Schools Departments. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of in-person and remote work, providing invaluable experience in project coordination, data management, and high-level administrative tasks that will prepare you for future professional roles.
Responsibilities:
Gain firsthand experience in managing day-to-day operations by supporting the executive team with scheduling, appointments, travel arrangements, and document preparation.
Enhance your communication skills by acting as a liaison between the executive team and internal/external stakeholders, drafting and proofreading emails, letters, and other communications, and coordinating meetings, conferences, and events.
Develop data organization and management skills by maintaining electronic and physical files, assisting with data entry, and generating reports to support decision-making processes.
Work on diverse, high-impact projects by collaborating with the executive team on research initiatives, conducting data analysis, and providing administrative support for various programming-related objectives.
Any other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the Internship Supervisor
Learning Objectives:
Learn to manage complex schedules, organize meetings, and handle key correspondence for executives.
Master time management techniques by balancing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and supporting the daily operations of a busy executive office.
Strengthen your written and verbal communication skills through frequent interactions with team members and external stakeholders, while also learning how to coordinate high-level meetings and events.
Participate in the planning and execution of meetings, events, and executive travel, gaining real-world experience in managing logistics and timelines.
Build your problem-solving skills by anticipating needs, troubleshooting issues, and providing proactive support for organizational goals.
Learn how to utilize office software such as Google Software (gmail, spreadsheet, google forms, google docs, Gemini (Ai)) and project management tools (such as Asana) to streamline tasks and improve workflow efficiency.
Understand the importance of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information and communications.

Supervision and Support
Receive an initial meeting to set clear expectations, outline responsibilities, and establish your goals for the internship
Participate in weekly progress reviews with the Executive Officer to assess your performance, address challenges, and receive guidance.
Benefit from ongoing support and mentorship, with dedicated time for feedback, questions, and skill development.
Halfway through the internship, receive a formal evaluation to track your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your goals or tasks.
At the end of the internship, participate in a comprehensive review, discussing your accomplishments, areas for improvement, and future career advice.
