Position Overview 

The HR Associate will play a critical role in recruitment, payroll processing, HR training, and partner relations. This hybrid role is primarily virtual, with occasional in-person meetings or events as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, systems-driven, and able to document and track HR processes accurately while leading with confidence.

This is a growth-focused role with the potential to transition into an HR Manager or HR Director position as the organization expands.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle: posting positions, sourcing candidates, screening, scheduling, and documenting applicant information.

  • Conduct candidate and partner interviews virtually and in-person (when needed).

  • Maintain and update HR databases, tracking systems, and applicant pipelines with accuracy.

  • Support payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. 

  • Develop and deliver HR-related training and onboarding for staff and interns.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to interns and team members, fostering a positive team culture.

  • Partner with leadership to establish stronger HR structure and systems that ensure accountability and efficiency.


Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or a related area.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with proven ability to manage systems and tracking tools.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Reliable internet connection for virtual work and ability to participate in occasional in-person meetings.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and follow through consistently.

  • Experience leading training or team meetings (preferred).

  • Nonprofit HR experience (a plus but not required).


Education Requirement

  • Minimum:

    • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR equivalent experience (2+ years of HR/recruitment work).

  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or Organizational Development.

    • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or HR Generalist Certificate) is a plus but not required.
