PART-TIME PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Job Title: Program Coordinator
Set rate: $20 per hour
Location: Mott Hall Bronx High School, North Bronx, and also Storefront Academy Charter Bronx School as needed.
Hours: 18 hours per week.
Required Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10 am to 3:30 pm ET
Start Date: As soon as possible.

Program Coordinator's Responsibilities:
Community Department:
Design, launch, and manage successful programs for the community department, increasing student registrations and oversight of Community Department programs including but not limited to Generation-Z, Afterschool programs, etc.
Program Development:
Research and develop engaging courses tailored for various age groups within the community department's focus (e.g., college preparation, afterschool.).
Create detailed course descriptions outlining learning objectives, materials required, and schedule information (dates, times, duration).
Include examples like college and career prep, public speaking, and more, catering to diverse interests.
Facilitator Recruitment:
Collaborate with HR to develop a recruitment strategy for class facilitators.
Utilize various channels like prior facilitator outreach and other platforms to attract qualified instructors.
Program Management:
Create a comprehensive program schedule, including course details, registration information, and deadlines.
Partner with the marketing team to distribute the schedule and promote class enrollment.
Develop and manage registration links for parents to register their children for desired classes via Procare.
Enrollment and Communication:
Develop a targeted strategy to reach student enrollment goals
Collaborate with Marketing to implement effective marketing campaigns for all classes and community department programs.
Upon registration confirmation, send welcome emails with key information, class links, and access details to parents and students.
Conduct follow-up communication to ensure parents receive all necessary information regarding their child's chosen courses and programs.
Facilitator Support:
Provide ongoing support to facilitators / instructors throughout the program.
Offer assistance with curriculum refinement (if needed), setting up classrooms, and engaging with students during the course.
Program Conclusion:
Plan and organize at school events relevant to college and career pathway, afterschool, etc.
Showcase student work from various classes to celebrate achievements and engage the community.
Communication Champion:
Become the central point of contact for the Community Department's Gen-Z Program and Afterschool Programs.
Job Qualification:
Must have relevant administrative and program coordination experience.
Relevant bachelor's degree or pursuing one.
Must be a New York City resident. Relocation and visa sponsorship/coverage currently not provided by I'RAISE
Clearance Requirement:
Must provide three professional / academic references
Must complete Department of Education Background Clearance/Fingerprint (cost not covered by I'RAISE)
Must complete Office of Family and Children Service (OCFS) Background Clearance/Fingerprint (cost not covered by I'RAISE)
Must have valid / active Social Security Number for NYC background clearance / fingerprint process

Physical and or mental requirement: Possess social perceptiveness. Ability to understand the importance of discretion and confidentiality. Bending, crawling, stooping, standing, vision, lifting, and walking. Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift, move throughout the building to access files, this role requires inspection of sites to detect safety concerns, must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment, must be able to adhere to process protocol, must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner. Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors/stakeholders, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota. Occasionally ascend and descend stairs. Constantly work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
Technology requirement: Comfortable communicating via email and phone, proficient in Microsoft-suite and Google Workspace (G-suite). This job may require the use of a laptop or computer and phone.
