Shanequa Moore, LMSW, CEO and Founder of I'RAISE Girls & Boys, is a recognized expert and thought leader in the field of community empowerment and public sector equity. Drawing on over 20 years of experience, she leverages her expertise to advocate for underserved communities, particularly BIPOC families. 


As a passionate leader, Moore has spearheaded impactful initiatives at I'RAISE Girls & Boys, creating tangible positive change for countless individuals. Her strategic lens extends beyond her organization, influencing broader systemic change.


Moore is a sought-after subject matter expert, regularly consulted by public sector leaders to guide them towards embracing equitable and inclusive practices. She challenges the status quo, pushing for policies and programs that ensure equal access and opportunity for all. Ms. Moore's recent work includes her leadership initiative: the Social Work Power course which helps Social Workers Harness their influence and navigate political systems effectively while developing strong leadership skills for driving positive social outcomes. 


Recognized for her collaborative spirit, Moore convenes stakeholders across sectors, fostering dialogue and forging partnerships. This ability to unite diverse voices has led to the development of innovative solutions tackling critical issues impacting New York City families.

Beyond her impressive accolades and expertise, Moore is driven by a deep-seated commitment to social justice. Throughout her career, Moore has received numerous prestigious awards, including recognition from the NYC Council, Mayor's Office, Senate, Congress, and Governor's Office. A champion for equity and social justice, Ms. Moore is pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, graduating in May 2025. Her passion lies in bridging the gap between micro and macro social work practices, aiming to equip future social workers with a well-rounded skillset.


Ms. Moore envisions social workers as powerful change agents at the helm of humanitarian efforts.  She advocates for social workers to understand their influence and leverage it to dismantle inequitable systems.  Her expertise, strategic thinking, and unwavering dedication inspire and empower communities, paving the way for a more just and equitable future for all.
